Removing the heater matrix

Removing the heater matrix is a right pain in the ass u have to remove whole dash I do not reccomen this for any one any one at all so many bolts nuts absolute pain pics to follow

Haha tries that but when it is constantly soaking the floor and over heating ia not good and whole dash needs to be removed why make it so hard

I know. My mate used to have an old cortina and the matrix just popped out from the engine bay. Not my taste in motor but I like the idea for the matrix access.

can you not get at it enough if you just remove the glovebox?? ive not had any trouble with mine or any of my MK2's thank god!

Sadly not.

When they built the Mk2 Ibiza's they start with the heater matrix dangling it in the air & then start bolting the whole car around it.

how long did it take to get that dash out mike? did you take steering column out?

Took me 2 hours heater matrix was the hardest as all bolts are hidden haha band noo left it in lol is a bugger vince I do not reccomend whywhat u planning haha

for when pedal box snaps completely, i have to grind it off the bulkhead thanks to some welding it up while it was on the car. only way ill get to all the welds is if i take dash out.

How did you take the dash out. last year i took my heater matrix out but it was more like key hole surgery then fitting a water mellon through a hosepipe.
