:( not to sure if you can get a replacement sill, i had a plate welded in the other week

I've had plates welded into mine, both sides.

TBH Seat realised they had a design fault with the car hence the dubious addition of the plastic side skirts when they did the facelift. Nice way of preventing you seeing the rust that is running riot in the sills. If you can't see it, it isn't happening, right???

i've got these sideskirts on order.

so the patch work doesn,t have to be that good. but i thought it would be easyer to weld in replacement panels. rather than make plates up

Mine are rusted too same spot should be getting welded up soon along with rear arch.

to get my old 1.4 through the MOT I just fibreglass fillered it. sandy sandy, bit of paint & it was good as new

I thought about just filling it with fiberglass but wasn't sure on the effect on chassis strength?

i want to do it so it so the rust dont come back. im planning to keep car for ages. i always planned to change the side skirts as everyone puts the m3 type ones on. and the ones im putting on mean i dont have to spend ages shaping and filling. the i done all the fibre glass on my old escort and it dont last long.

I did remove all the rust before fillering it.

I doubt you can get the panel from the dealer, but just make it out of sheet steel. it'll be cheaper in the end
