reset engine managment light

just replaced a faulty coil pack on my 1.2l 2002 seat ibiza. Engine ma nagment light has not cleared by itself. last time this happened i had a vauxhaull and i solved the problem with a paper clip test by flashing out the coeds and then clearing the fault. Can this be done with my ibiza, i read about the VAG program but have solved the problem and just want ot clear the light, Also want to clear the service light too. many thanks for any advice. rob

You'll need to use Vagcom or something similar to clear it mate

disconnect the battery for 10 minutes, that'll clear it.

sweet, will give that a try, not in a position to purchase VAG at the mo, got a link for reseting the spanner symbol too.

it cleared itself after a few hours without me doing anything.

Ah so the RAC guy wasn't lying. He reset mine on his laptop after I had a coil pack go but said it should reset itself of it's own accord after x amount of drive cycles.
