Well I've tried messing with these instructions and whatever I do seems to do the same..... Nothing..
Can't change anything...

Also not sure what power on and power off state means..... Is this the lights or the ignition... If it means ignition, then how can you possibly do a factory reset with no power going to the switch..?

Found these programming instructions but have not tried them yet. Sure someone will.

AUTO HEADLAMP MODULE - PROGRAMMING

Installation:

1.Remove original headlight switch.

2.Insert the module into the original harness.

3.Install Auto headlight switch.

4. Turn on ignition switch, then manually turn on the headlights and make

sure they operate normally.

a. Wait for 12 seconds (Sensing startup delay 12 seconds when

power switch start, because battery load is relatively large, this

can protect battery. Module has set up intelligent detection, no

more than 12 s).

b.Set headlight switch in AUTO position

c. Cover light-sensor with full opaque object and headlights will turn on within 1 second.

5. Finally pry open the side of fuse box to run the sensor line through it,

keep the light-sensor in a good lit place (e.g. bottom corner of the

A-pillar).

Settings:

With the ignition switch turned on you can program the following:

(A) Learning parking lights: If you want to start up parking lights early,

when in proper time, program as follows:

a. AUTO position →Parking lights → AUTO position, if successful

the module will sound (beep, beep) twice, the setting is complete!

When outdoor light is within range for parking lights, parking

lights will turn on immediately. If want parking lights to turn on

before, reprogram whit correct outside light.

(B) Learning headlights: If you want to start up headlights early, when in

proper time, as follow:

a. AUTO position → headlights → AUTO position, if success, the

module will beep (beep, beep, beep) 3 times. The setting is

complete! When outside light is in range for headlights,

headlights will turn on immediately. If want headlights to turn on

before or after, reprogram with correct outside light.

(C) Tunnel mode: When entering a tunnel in broad daylight, our eyes

cannot adapt immediately, tunnel Mode has solved this problem as it

can turn on the headlights as soon as possible.

*Due to the high sensitivity of the sensor, the bridges and shades can easily trigger

headlights sometimes, it is recommended for City-Users is to turn off tunnel mode. You

can manually open temporarily on the highway when needing rapid response.

a) AUTO position→ O position → AUTO position,

a.Tunnel mode turned on when module beep (beep) 1 time;

b.Tunnel mode turned off when module beeps: (beep, beep) 2 times.

With the ignition key pulled out you can program the following:

(D) Set timer for Coming/Leaving-Home functions: Turning off C/L

home-functions must be set in the time of parking-lights flashing and

headlight switch in the off position, program as follows:

a. AUTO position→ off →AUTO position → off → AUTO position,

module beeps (beep), then parking lights will start flashing and

module starts time for programming:

i. If headlight switch is rotated to off position in less than 5 seconds, home-function is invalid. Time extension = 0 sec.

ii. If headlight switch is not rotated to off position in over 60S,time extension=60 seconds.

Noticed I hear a single bleep when ignition switched on and in the AUTO position.
I wonder if it's because I'm running Scandinavian Drl's.. Front and back LED's always on....

Noticed that your instructions say Auto - 0 - Auto. Where as the instructions I got say 0 - Auto - 0....

About 2 weeks for mine. Don't take any notice of the tracking, mine was still being processed in China then turned up the next day.

Anyone manage to adjust the sensitivity on this? As the post above, I tried various combinations and nothing seems to change :(

I’m having the same issues, lights go on so late. I am having to manually put the lights on as it is getting dark before the sensor is picking up it’s getting dark. I will have a mess on later on again

I have been playing with this for days and still no joy in changing any sensitivity settings... Comes on immediately when going under bridges or into shadows and then take ages to come on when getting dark... Lol....

I'm coming to the conclusion it's just a basic photo cell wired into the 'on' portion of the light switch... But hoping someone can figure this out and prove me wrong.....

I can’t get mine to work, it gets that dark that I can’t see the numbers on the speedo before the lights switch on.
I'm the complete opposite. Mine is so sensitive, it's like I'm flashing other drivers while I make my way to work. On M1/M25. Under every type of bridge, walkway or structure... Even at 60mph...

Still using it though.. Lol

I think I may take the photocell out from under the dash (post #57) and stick it on top of dash like it's supposed to be. Maybe that will reduce the sensitivity..... Job for next weekend....

Anyone else had an unusual issue with the fog lights? With most auto lights, leaving it in Auto and pulling out the dial to turn on the fogs turns on both the lights and fog lights. With mine pulling it out turns on the main beam, and then I get a warning light about a lighting fault - it doesn't turn on the fogs... works fine if I turn the lights to on rather than Auto. Haven't tested it in the dark though so maybe that if the main beam is already on (Auto) then the fogs work?

Well I thought I could stick it out, lol, but the extreme sensitivity of my Switch has beaten me. I have now re-installed my stock switch.

But the curiosity got me and I wanted to know how this switch was put together. so I stripped it.
The Photo Diode fell out of the housing.

Pulled the hot glue off of the wires.

All in all not as bad as I was expected. So maybe its the photo diode that's at fault. Maybe when they mod these they just use whatever diode they have handy at the time. And each one could have different specs.

Anyways a few pics if anyone is interested whats inside.

Finally fitted our new switch 2 weeks ago, using the sensor wire up the offside 'A' pillar/sensor
at the top corner of the windscreen method.
I chose to affix the sensor itself in a slightly different place to those already mentioned, (see
image) - but it all works OK and as has been mentioned by others was a clean,10 minute job.

Highly recommended mod for the modest outlay and the simplicity of fitting it.
