Retrofitting cruise control

Hello all
I'm thinking about fitting cruise control to my leon, I've found a cruise control stalk on eBay for £64 and messaged the bloke to see if my car will accept it he says it will but might need programming.
The info he asked for was on the control of the stalk beneath the lower steering wheel cover
Info reads:
1k0 953 539 bc
He says it might go straight on and work if not it'll need reprogramming apparently this particular model is troublesome to recode.
Can anyone shed any light please

What model do you have?

Some of them require a new steering control module.

If not then it's a 2 minute job to fit.

which model do you need car model? or Steering Control Module Model No.

AQ, Ak, BG, CH controllers allow cruise, multifunction steering buttons & large display clocks.

BC does not allow cruise retro fitting. You will need a different steering controller.
