Hi again guys,

I've given up trying to get my Aura working, so I've put in my old JVC KD-G701 CD/MP3 player. Is there a knack to swapping the red and yellow wires over on the black 8 pin connector, in order to retain memory? The connections are the standard Seat connections like the ones in the main pic of this photo (scroll down):

I have removed the long yellow clip that slots in the side, thinking this may be some sort of release, but I still cannot remove the thick red wire or the yellow/red wire to swap them.

I removed (by force) the 'K-line' No.3 wire, as instructed by Ross Tech, but the wire came out of it's housing leaving the rest inside the 8 pin connector. Obviously I don't want to do that with the other two wires! Is there an easier way of doing this please anyone?

Thanks.

Thanks for that brendy.

Unfortunately I haven't any extension wires, just the basic black and brown blocks which connect directly onto the JVC pins. So, I will have to physically remove the two wires. I don't want to cut them as the red wire is a lot thicker, I imagine more charge goes through this one, so could be asking for trouble if I cut them.

I think you could be right brendy. i was just hoping there would be a 'free' option! But, the wires seem to be a right f***** to get out!

Loom arrived yesterday, JVC fitted and working fine, thanks for your help brendy.
PS. Your boys are gonna get a spanking today!

No probs mate it had to save you cutting and joining.
As for the footy dont even go there, my missus is coming home from work early today so i can get out to watch it on the big screen round in the golf club.
