Other the last few weeks i have noticed a decrease in pull from my car. For example in 3rd gear. Used to pull really well but no no difference. I have noticed this ever since i used a obd cable off ebay for vag com and this may have damaged the obd? I have tried switching between stock and performance and have only noticed a slight difference. Could this be to do with the hot weather even though its cold 2day. Any ideas. Has anyone else had similaru symtoms in last few weeks.

thanks

The warmer weather will have some effect. Could it just be that you're getting used to the remap? I've got a remapped saab 93 and I'm already noticing after 3 weeks of driving it that it doesn't feel as quick, a look at the speedo tells me different though :D

Try resetting the ECU by leaving the battery disconnected for 5 mins. It might be that the ECU has got used to motorway driving etc........

yeh, think i agree with the majority here - the hotter weather certainly does hold the car back. I've thought the same every summer i've had the car.
The FMIC I have has helped, but still recon i notice a slight difference...

Your ECU is like a student - it constantly learns & adapts every time you drive your car (without getting drunk) !!

If you have been doing a load of motorway or granny driving of late, your ECU will adapt & be less agressive so you save on juice.

By disconnecting the battery, it will reset your ECU, giving you a more aggressive and responsive drive from the off. (Your ECU can re-adapt to a more agrressive drive, but it will take some time if you don't reset it).

This will have no adverse affects on any remaop you may have !

do you have to disconnect the battery or can it not be done by removeing a fuse?a mate of mine has a CTR and we reset his ecu by removeing a fuse on top of the battery

Disconnect the battery... reconnect, then turn on ignition and leave for a couple of minutes.

Do a fault code check
Check the peak MAF values using VAG COM
Check the load requests using VAG COM

If it's in limp mode there'll be a fault. If the MAFs reading low there won't be but the car will feel slow.
