I bought a revo's stage 2 ecu off ibiza-cupra on here and its been running great until i used the sps2 i bought off ebay for the anti theft, Now it runs like a bag of crap :cry: its lost all the kick you get between 2 and 3000rpm in any gear and even when the turbo kicks in you can tell its not a happy bunnie :(

But even when the car was running better it would only boost to 16/17 psi and hold at about 14/15 so im wondering if i possibly have a leak somewhere as well, so i need abit of help from the more experianced on here any advice is much appreciated :)
 
Thats the first thing i tried but it still boosts to 15 psi just not very well :(

Yer im just waiting to get my blueflame downpipe and sports cat but i did check the revo site before i bought it and it does say downpipe and race cat optional but i understand they make a big difference on a stage 2
 
them figures you gave for your psi, sound ok to me for your spec, as acid said though, you need dp and FMIC ASAP, shouldnt be running stage 2 imo, i peak at 18psi and hold @16psi until about 5.5/6k

got vagcom? start loggin the essentials if you can, it narrows the problems down

it could be boost leak...check all vac hoses are connect and not split, check dv is all connect properly and doesnt sound whooshy

unplug maf and see if it runs better or worse

just the first of alot of things to check

The dump valve is VERY whooshy and does sound as if its dumping as well

but i have no idea what it is niether did timd or ibiza-cupra they thought it might be an old baileys or something but thats getting changed to forge as well
 
what DV do you actually have? its not a atmospheric one is it?

by the sounds of it it is, not a good idea, as you have said, you need a recirc asap

u sure its not "up to" 20psi???? depends on how aggressive the map is, but a stage 1 map is a generic map and i think you will have to be pretty lucky to be hitting 20psi, i woulnt read too much into the "marketing" side of things, suck it and see
 
Fair play. Well mine is only peaking at just over 15psi so it's not hitting 20!!!! Have no idea wot map it is tho!!! I have just fitted a boost gauge and realised it's not standard!!!!
 
sounds like a recirc valve (which is good)

ill check all the hoses later but i think the dump valve is knackered anyways but it still does make any sence to why the car would go from working fine to running like crap after using the sps ? and i have tried the different fuel settings

do you get wastegate chatter? if you take off your DV and push the piston up does it drop back down? a few things you could be checking, DV, VAC hoses,

do you get any lights on the dash?

i have no lights on the dash or wastegate chatter but ill try all the things you and acid have said later and let you no how i get on fingers crossed :)
