Oh my god, I've finally got my revo remap today, and Jesus Christ it's like a complete different car, power to weight ratio is unbelievable, my friends stage 4 revo 425bhp focus rs mk2 just managed to be a hairline behind me on a blast out.

It's absolutely ridiculous it feels like a complete different car well worth doing to any wiener of the cupra 280-290, 3rd gear is just insane, the power bands have changed from 3krpm-5800rpm to about 2500-6200 and boy does it deliver.

I made the wise choice of having brand new Pirelli tyres on in the same day.

All I can say is I'm 25 and it felt like I was driving an evo for the first time again.

Will get some videos soon against the mk2 rs @425bhp mk3 rs stock and my friends Aston Martin.

Can confirm in manual you get a sweet sounding pop on ever gear change you rev through.... truly an amazing improvement I'm absolutely gov smacked.

And to top it off I ordered this 3 months in advance and live and behold it fell on Black Friday and I got 25% off saved £130, I've owned my cupra 290 for 5 months covered 7k miles and all I can say is I've enjoyed every minute of it but that car is seriously made to be held back.....

Unleash the beast folks live your fellow cupra owner

Man, you sure are selling it well, are you sure you're not employed by Revo ? Lol.
I've signed up to their black Friday deal and it's about £150 off which brings the price from £599 to £449 -i think I'm going to give it a month before I take the plunge. I have to ask, have you bought your cupra outright ? Mines on a lease and I'm unsure how this would affect it.
I've also been looking at jb1 tuning and TDI tuning boxes . Obviously they both give less power but are a lot cheaper and that's before considering their resale value.

I thought the same thing

After re reading it, I do sound like one of those facebook comments off
"I earn £50 an hourt from working at home all you have to do is.......... blah blah blaaaah"

Think the second pint sent me into a England manager mode when watching the World Cup.....

I'd stay stick with a more reputable remap, if it's a 30k car the last thing you want is something that cost 300quid 1% of value to ruin it, if it's on lease they'll just take your stock profile and make a back up so when it's goes back in for a service they can just put the old one back on and they won't know any different, I kinda want the warranty to be there incase I need it.

Seriously though it is a whole different feeling

Ok, I'm going to bite the bullet sooner than expected. I got my ass handed to me by my mates mk2 bright orange, chavvy ass ST. It has a few things done to it granted , but it doesn't excuse it leaving me 4/5 times on the third beep. He said it's running 300hp...

Bite the bullet bro 1280kg car with 370bhp it's power to weight ratio will **** it. It works out to around a stage4.5 focus rs mk2 on acceleration, not tried the top end as the weather is dangerous as hell. But it will certainly put a lot of cars in there places.

a revo map will invalidate your warranty on any car whether its lease or owned.

if you have any issues and it goes into the stealers then they get you

I am getting a 290 black on a lease and I will use a good indy with OEM SEAT/VAG parts which is fine for the lease period. its only if I have an issue with the car will I need to remove the tuning box before it goes in.

sounds like a great map though and the car is alive. congrats and enjoy. that is what they are there for.

Yeah there brilliant, from what I've seen on people that had there maps still on and not stock file that had a service, it invalidated the warranty of the drivetrain not to sure if they pick at anything else though, I'd be highly surprised if they didn't though.

Rule of thumb just never have modified maps on the car when it goes in for a service.

Good luck with your map and enjoy, it's a great engine for mapping
