Not much to update really but gave her a machine polish as it was a nice day and will be the last one to get through the winter months. Car is still going strong with no issues apart from my front wishbone bushes on their last legs now, so I have polybushes going in on Tuesday so should feel a lot better.

Also a little novelty thing iv been wanting to do for a while. Shotgun shells for my wheel nuts!!

Pics as always....

Looking great as always mate really good shine ! I like the look of the wheel nut shells might have to invest in some myself ..

Thanks mate, yeah the red does come up very nicely when machined. Do it!! I have loads of them, don't ask why though haha

Car looks mint, fair play. Obviously the best colour lol.
Nice to see standard coloured alloys,i do like grey wheels with the red bodywork also.

Thanks dude, yeah red is the best colour for the MK1 imo. I do like darker wheels on red but with me I have to be different!! lol

Car looks really good mate :)

Cheers mate, I still do my best to keep it up to scratch :D

I have now had my front and rear wishbone polybushes in for just over a week. I'm very impressed with them. The steering is a whole lot lighter which took a while to get used to so now feels like it has power steering!! The car also feels like it wants to corner a whole lot better even though the coilovers did help with that. But when I corner quite hard on right lock it seems like the N/S wheel is getting caught on something so need to investigate that.

I have kind of fallen out of love with the car at the mo even though its still running well. But with my passenger door now stuck shut and water still getting in the footwell ( even though I re-sealed it the other week ) things like this really annoy me and with winter on its way I do feel a bit dis-heartened by it but ol well onwards and upwards.

Been thinking over the past few days and iv pretty much decided that the car will be going up for sale in the spring. After having this and my Cupra before they have both cost me a fortune in petrol, tax, insurance etc.. and for a daily car I just don't get the enjoyment out of sitting in traffic and feel the car deserves better. I have spent loads of money on the R and love it to bits but I think I am going to end up getting a golf diesel. I know im only 24 but saving for the future is making sense atm. If I can get cheap insurance quotes for having two cars then keeping the R might be an option?

On to the R anyway, I have managed to get the passenger door card off while the door is still stuck shut. Will order the door lock tomorrow and hope to get it fitted next weekend.

Had my tracking done yesterday by one of my works customers as it was pulling so badly to the left. N/S front was the culprit for this and was out by miles, but all good now. Photobucket is not working for me for some reason so will upload photos at a later date.

Hey bud. Will definitely be interested when you put this up for sale. Any ideas how much you will be looking for?
