Looks a great kit, impressive at only 12.5psi too! I take it the DP bolts onto the existing DP? Doubt the manifold would work on a RHD car though?

$2095 is £1345!

I'd love to go MAFless too so I could run a BOV but that's not possible over here.

Yes DP Bolts to the stock exhaust and the turbo is placed in the center. The compressor side is located on your passenger side with exhaust on your driver side.

Why isn't it possible to go mafless?

I do tend to agree with Phil. I used to me a proponent of the ram-air effect, but I now really think the difference is negligible and that open cone is the least restrictive method of getting air into your turbo.

And the main problem is, we all like a bit of induction noise :D

Well my car has passed the MOT no problem, didn't think there would be anything needed with only 38k miles on it! The woman on the phone said all the guys have been crowding round my engine bay taking pics of it - lol!

Off to collect it at 2. :D

If the turbo sits in the centre, I doubt there would be enough room between the turbo and brake servo to fit the DP.

Nobody writes MAFless files over here.

That's one thing that's always puzzled me - no Unitronic representation in the UK?? They seem to do lots of "off the shelf" files for different turbos and injector sizes.

I notice some of the guys in Europe - Greece/Turkey etc use Unitronic.

Yes we pretty much have many BT files for the european models. Help from our European dealers allowed us this luxury :)

Got my car back, quite funny how excited the staff were over my car (a VW dealership).

Yes a shame no Unitronic in the UK, I'd love to run MAFless BOV style - only a handful of REVO, APR and maybe one or two GIAC dealers, that's about it. Jim @ Star does write custom maps, but he's less inclined to these days.

Passed the MOT with no work needing done at all, emissions were well below the limit so chuffed with that - not bad for a 100-cell race CAT (thanks to Tesco 99 and Forte!)

Well I think I have finally come up with an induction setup I'm happy with. While the K&N Apollo is good, it's boring as it's near silent - when I drive a turbocharged car I want to hear induction noise, turbo spool and dump noise!

So I got a new filter and alloy trumpet from Roger Clark Motorsport, mainly because they have K&N cone filters which have open cotton gauze ends and not just rubber or chrome caps.

Just so happens that the Apollo cold air feed fits perfectly on the end of the filter:

Here it is installed:

Direct cold air feed from the fog light aperture:

So I'll have a good supply of force-fed cold air along with the other benefits of an open cone!

Something else my car will be sporting next year ...

:D ;)

Backdraft Motorsport baffled sump will be coming soon too.

eBay, seems very good quality, weave and clearcoat are spot on and it is half the weight of the OE bonnet, will be fitting bonnet pins as well to make sure it doesn't fly up!

I'll be getting carbon door mirrors to match the bonnet this winter too. :D

That is fantastic! I have a carbon fibre bonnet, front of the bonnet is slightly grazed  by the courier company when It was being delivered....

Rob, if you manage to get hold of some carbon fibre covers for the wing mirrors please drop me a PM.

By the way the nice RCM induction kit!
