jumped into the leon today driving normaly went too give it a little bit of gas and boom started running lumpy as if it was running on 3 cylinders!!!
sounds very like a subaru engine, so am slightly worried any suggestions or anybody had this problem before???
its a 03 LCR
usually you'll see an Engine Management light flashing on the dash..... my first coil-pack failure was this time last week - not bad considering i've owned the car for nearly 3 years!
Depends which coilpack is gone - but even the hardest one only took me 8mins to do (i timed it) - and that was in the pouring rain!
The coilpack I got last week (revision R) - #06B 905 115 R - cost me £29.90 inc. VAT from the local VW garage.
EDIT: Hardest bit for anyone without VAG-COM would be to figure out which coilpack is faulty. Otherwise, it's disconnect cable, pull up carefully (don't wiggle) and replace.
Cylinder 4 is under a vac-reservoir and bracket which requires a 5mm allen-key to remove the 3 bolts, and a 13mm spanner to remove the reservoir.
yep! I'm chuffed to bits! Because it was my first one, it scared the sh*t out of me initially... then i thought - "oh wait, it's about time i had this happen!"
