right cheers for that fello so unless the garages boss knows what you know then it wont be fixed cos ive had thee lambda sensors now so im defo getting that refunded ill stick the original d/v bk on cos i cant find the blanking plate so may buy a Forge DV007P if they are any good ???. Also when i put the original d/v back on will the engine light turn itself off or will it need to be reset? if so how do i reset it ?

cheers for the info fella cnt find the blanking plate so ill either buy a bosch one or a Forge DV007P but are they any good ?? also if i fit a recirc one back on will the light reset itself or will it need to be reset ?

I had the forge split r dumpvalve and it caused me so much problems, I now have the 007 and it's perfect, never had a problem. In fact I'd say they are the best dumpvalves for our 1.8t cars. If I was you I'd get my money back defo. I have a fault code reader and vagcom to get rid of my fault codes, but I think, if you disconnect the battery for 30 mins it will reset the ecu. Some one on here might have to confirm this.

ok cool so Forge DV007P and possibly unplug the battery and job done lol maybe, ewll saves me being damn near400 pound outta pocket

I don't think dump valve is the problem, the valve is shut until you take your foot off the throttle so it would only overfuel very slightly when you took your foot off.

I ran a HKS SSQV fully atmospheric on mine for last couple of weeks with no fuelling issues or running problems at all.

The Split R still recircs some of the air so I very much doubt it will make it over fuel.

it might be something thats been building up over time cos ive had the dv on for about a yr and i have noticed sum lag and issues witht the running since its been on so either way ill swap it and see if this idea works if not ill look into the other sensors i.e maf as its not the lamba sesnsor :S

The thing is Adam, I had the same problem, changed to the 007 and never had over fueling again, so I'm only talking from my experience. Some cars are very sensitive and others are not for some reason.
Also dan on the forum said his hks ssqv dump valvecaused his car to over fuel.

stupidly i left it on the bill but i think off the top of my head they were 17545 & 17705 but im not totally sure but it was defo sumthing to do with overfueling

His is the older version mine is the newer version, brings on no lights or anything and runs like a dream.

The Split R does cause problems but there usually caused by the valve not being set up correctly so car registers as a boost leak

We can all guess the cause of the problem but were pi**ing in the wind without the fault code :cartman:

Yep that confirms what I was saying, boost leak and running rich, it's your dump valve I'm 100% sure. That's the same codes I had.

so ditch the dv then basically, if its a pipe which pipe would it be and where ?

so ditch the dv then basically

The problem with these valves is usually because there not set up right, quite a few people run these with no problem at all although others seem to have trouble.

It could also be faulty.......or the valve could be 100% fine and you have a split pipe.....could be pretty much any pipe check them all to be safe.

If you have a boost leak, after x amount of miles your car will run rich resulting in both fault codes, so get the dump valve changed and job done.

well what you guys are saying makes sense cos the garage seem to be stumped and are just replacing things willy nilly so ill get a refund for the parts ttake it home replace the dv unplug battery and all shud be cushty, if not ill start to investigate split pipes maf sensor etc :)
