Running with no oil cap on!

I've made a rookie mistake and forgotten to put the oil cap back on after topping up the oil a few days ago :ban:

I only discovered this earlier while topping up my washer fluid, the oil cap was sat on the scuttle panel and there was a small smattering of oil on the rocker cover and a few pipes etc. There were no oil warning lights on and the car has been running ok, I'm just worried that it might have done some damage not having the cap on for a few days?

It's a Cupra TDi by the way. Cheers!

Should be okay as long as no dirt got in, just check the oil, personally I would do a oil change to be on safe side but should be okay

Cheers guys, I'll sort out an oil change when I get chance just to be sure. Glad I didn't lose the oil cap though, don't fancy one of my socks getting mashed in the engine :p
