I have one installed on top of the steering column, just wrapped the cable around the steering rack with just enough slack to put the scangauge on top.

I also had x-gauge added which was done for free as the unit was less than a year old. Now shows bhp when driving and a trip computer to show petrol cost for that day.

Unfortunately it won't show boost, shows everything else i.e. air intake temp, mph, revs, water temp, ignition timing, mpg etc etc

Is it any good down there?
Was looking earlier and the dash really doesn't lend it self really for anywhere, except in front of the dash clocks) or like you have by the ashtray.
You got any pics installed mate?

i can get some for you mate hang on 5 mins, its ok its not in your line of view thats the only thing.thinking about on the steering colum in front of the speedo.

here you go,and this is where im going to put it i think but it requires hiding the cable a little more...

I was reading the various posts about the ScanGauge with interest, as we are UK distributor.

Looking at the various mounting options that you have come up with I thought you may be interested to know we have just become UK distributor for the BlendMount - this allows the ScanGauge to be mounted above the rear-view mirror - details available at http://www.ukobd.co.uk/gstore/store/g_viewItem.asp?idProduct=128 - a hot off the press one, we only launched it today!

Gareth,

Is the boost readout facility not compatible with the mk 1 Leon. I was considering buying one but would like that function.

Hi,

It is really difficult to provide info on a specific car - as I'm sure you are aware these are sold across many manufacturers.

Effectively if the ECU is reading boost pressure then yes - it is often available as manifold pressure (effectively the same thing).

Hope that this helps,

Gareth

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but saves getting moaned at :p!!

Im looking to get one these little beasties in the very near future, and obviously UKOBD are the UK distributor, but.....is anyone selling one? or have they purchased them from elsewhere?

Im guessing that the SGII just plugs straight into the OBD port, and jobs a fish everything works?

Cheers

By the way, i think best place for it is just at bottom of A pillar on top of dash.
Perfect for it.
found steering wheel blocked view of it on the steering column especially when steering
