I'm capable of doing the work myself I just don't have the equipment to remap.. I've already been twice he put a different map on the second time but not fix.. its 1 hour drive so as you can imagine it's not much fun

Understand, especially when you need the car up in the air ideally to get the DPF out, be interesting to know what maps they use, if you go onto sites and click find a dealer for companies it will most likely tell you, usual ones are the likes of

Regal
Elite
Top gear
Bhpuk
Viezu
Quantum

Are the most common ones

And so on

Alien tech the tool to read and write' winols to edit files pulled. Which I don't believe they use and most likely to use a file service from some one. Most people to turn DPF / EGR etc off will use the likes of swiftec

Not been funny and could be wrong but everyone just comes back with the winols crack

He put on a map which he said he used before on another seat leon with the exact same ecu and serial code.

What dpes that mean lol.. it doesn't matter what he used it didn't work lol. And he's refusing to accept that his map isn't working.

Viezu' that's the company who supply the remap, basically they the ones who he emails and they email the remap to him, that's if it is them bare in mind. Arnt the company merged, part of J F automotive in Kent, or maybe the company you used is slaved to them, any how, not getting into politics etc. It's your call, I know what I would be doing

What's that? Asking for my money back and go elsewhere? Or should I give him 1 more chance to **** up my car lol

Like I say personally I'd get my money back, he hasn't removed the DPF, doesn't know what he is doing it seems and the quality of software is questionable, that's me, it's your decision, maybe read back through your posts in this thread and maybe it may help your decision

So I didn't take your advise.. I took it back he gutted me dpf and then asked me for another £50.. I obviously said no I've done about 300 miles goes back 3 times.. then I get a text saying my clutch is slipping. When I get the my car stinks of clutch but after about 5 mins of driving the smell goes and I floor my car to test it and it's absolutely fine for me...no smell or slipping.. I'm pretty sure he tried to burn my clutch out because I wouldn't pay the 50. And im not 100% sure my map is still there is doesn't seem as fast but I might be imaging that bit.. it span in 3rd before and it doesn't now..

No map and DPF off, maybe out of spite , it gets worse, you should have took my advice, personally find it absoloutely shocking and wouldnt dare treat my customers like that,

and sounds right in what he tried to do with the clutch, such a bad company, he should have done the job right foist time around

Just a quick update.. I was just kidding about the map the power is there. Also my clutch got better over the next few days and isn't slipping at all now so maybe he spilled something on it when removing the dpf. Also I'm still getting the same problems so I took it somewhere else today they read the ecu sent it away and they said everything is fine with the remap so something else is causing my problem and I probably owe this guy an apology for what I said to him about my clutch lol

Where is this cowboy based mate, what's the name of it? I'm looking at getting dpf and tune done in the midlands but don't want to stumble upon him!!

http://www.remap-uk.co.uk he apparently owns the company he was in dronfield. I has the map tested by someone else and they said the map is good but I had the dpf come on again once and the engine management light for the egr wont go out no matter how many times I clear the code. I know he purposely tried to ruin my clutch because it stunk really bad when I got it back and it's slips occasionally but funnily enough I have never managed to make the clutch smell like that. One day hen he least expects it and had forgotten all about me I will pget my revenge. He was really arsey after I refused to pay more. He's a prick0
