Seat inserts

Hey peeps,

Just a quickie,

Was red the only actual coloured insert you could get for a Cupra other than grey?

As I have seen a Cupra with blue inserts and wondered if this was custom or special order?

I never realised that lol! Thought it was only the red in red and black cars!

Shame they didnt do yellow in the yellows but I guess that would be even more impractical than red or blue!

hmmm yellow be abit weird, but I think red in a black car is weird too, but its not limited as some people have said in the past, its probably more common than grey seats!

if i had red seats id buy cupra R seat belts to match, that would look good

Well mine is red with black which i think is abit more racy than the grey, but alot less practical I would imagine lol!

Ive seen more of the grey seats, i think its just the red seats are the earlier Cupras and grey is later models.

I thought about red seat belts but not sure if they would look tacky.

yup, my inserts are blue, imperial blue cupra, but awesomeandy also has a imperial blue cupra and his inserts are grey?? must have got a choice when the cars were new

Maybe it depended on the year or something??

I saw a blue with blue inserts and I think it looks wicked, is it as much of a pain to keep clean as the red tho? lol

its not a pain at all to keep clean, if they get really mucky (after a rugby match or something) i will just wet and dry the seats and they come out new again, like to do this every other month also, just coz i like a clean car

Problem I have is with rain! Water marks suck! But ive got some Scotchgard now to keep them clean!

i suspect there was a choice, but obviously it was to have color coded seat otherwise why would they stick red with black

No there was:-

Red Inserts in some of the Black ones & Red ones - IIRC a Limited Edition item on the earlier ones (X Reg, Y reg and 51 reg) i may be wrong on that one

Grey Inserts in some Black ones, Blue ones, Yellow ones & Silver ones

Blue Inserts in some of the Blue ones and IIRC there is a girl on here that has Blue Inserts in her Black one

There was some Imports too that have full leather but they are VERY rare although i think there was someone on here with one, there is other added extras like Sunroof, Climate Control and Window Wiper Rain Sensors...i think thats it?

Yeah i would like the Blue seats if i had a Blue one

I think the Red seats look awesome, my first Cupra had the Red ones too!

Anyone have any tried and tested methods of cleaning the cloth inserts - mine are well dirty!!!!

Hooch (h17och on here) cleaned mine for me with some big, loud hoover thingy.

They came up perfect

Yeah you need a bucket of warm water with washing up liquid in and apply pressure whilst wiping with a microfibre cloth

I have blue inserts and black car (standard as far as I know)

Mine were cleaned by a so called 'Professional Valeter'. Don't know what they did but it didn't work.

Na I had mine done "professionally" too pal and they runied my seats!
