Seat Leon tdi 184 whine noise?

Hi

I just brought a seat Leon 184 tdi last Saturday

Iv noticed today, a whining noise coming from the back of the cabin. It can also be heard outside towards the back.

It's driving me crazy. Does anyone know what it is?

If more details are needed let me know.

Just been and investigated a little bit more and it sounds like it is coming from whatever is under the back seat drivers side? Not sure what it is, it has a wife going to it?

If it is below the back seat, probably the fuel pump.

Is it normal for it to make a noticeable noise nom stop? It's doesn't change pitch apart from the first second on start up then it settles in to a constant.

That's not normal. I can't hear my fuel pump at all (same car). Is there a warranty on the car?

I have the same sound. Its whinig when you start the car.

So I'm pretty sure it's the fuel pump. I can hear it priming but it changes pitch and continues like that until I turn the engine off. This definitely isn't right is it? I'm just concerned I'm just worrieing about it too much because Iv just brought the car.
