Hi!

I checked my "may'be" faulty MAP today, took the ECU apart and concluded that is wasnt other chip or any welds at all. So must be purely OBD.

So my plan is to take the car to Seat to put back an original map.
Is that possible at all? I assume I just can say I want the latest updates and then it flashed the MAP to hell?

:help:

They will flash a standard map but if your car is still under warranty they might smell a rat. Your remap will be encrypted and they won't be able to download it if they try. I'd just send it to a REVO dealer like Bill Brockbank (badger 5).

There is no warranty left, I didnt even bought the car there. I just want a standard MAP back. So they cant read it? Just overwrite it?

as far as i know, the seat dealer can flash the ecu to the lastest VAG map. this will overwrite any maps previously uploaded.

dont know how much they will charge though

Thanks for the replys, the solution will be that I take the ECU out this evening and send it to REVO with UPS tonight. They will then have it tomorrow within 12:00!

Flashing it with stock ecu, revo stage 1 + the switch

You cant compare the numbers, as I send the ECU to them monday, they had it yesterday, gave it stock chip, revo stage 1 and the switch. They then shipped it to Denmark same day, so I should have it today.
