Second Service Coming Up - Your opinions?

Hi All,

I Have an Ibiza 1.2 on a 55 plate so it is due for its second service next month.

Apparently I will be charged well over £200 for this, nearly twice the price of the first service when the car was one year old. Despite this, it seems a lot of the things that I "gained" from the first service no longer apply into the car's 3rd year. For instance, I won't have free AA Break Down cover any more.

What I'm wanting to know is do other owners think this expensive service is worth it? What do I gain from it compared to getting a service from "Joe Bloggs" garage for less than half the price?

I know the main answer is it means my 3rd year warrenty would be lost if I don't get a Seat (or compatible!) service. But as most "ordinary" things are not covered in the 3rd year warrenty anyway - is it really worth it?

Opinions would be appreciated.

As long as its serviced at a VAT registed garage and using genuine parts your warranty will be intact...and your back pocket will have more money in! Where are you from? Sure someone can recommend somewhere

well there are loads of people I know wawrick street newcastle which are a seat garage are cheap, think they have connections to some independent garage.
