Service Indicator

Advice Needed!!!!

I have A 2001 Leon Cupra that has 3100 miles, and just turned 6mths old. The service indicator has illuminated to indicate a service due (flashes for 20 secs)

After speaking to a local dealer (not where it was purchased) I was told that leons initially had a service interval after 6mths, but to ignore this and take the car in after 1yr/ 10k miles.

What i don't want to happen is for the indicator to get out of sync by leaving it until 1yr/10K , to get reset, then for it to light again 6mths later.

Similarly, i don't want to reset the indicator now, for it to come back on 1yr/10K from this date

Does anyone know if it is possible to 'set' when the indicator next comes on???

Andy

Hi AndyR, guess u have a similar situation to the one I have with my Toledo. Check with SEAT Customer services to confirm whether 6mth service is the norm. My guess is that it is not! Try checking distance to next service and add this to distance covered. A discrepancy >100 miles should not be expected unless .........................
