Setting up Turbosmart DV

Right just got one of these

Fitted it and it doesn't sound much different unless i'm doing something wrong.

Just wondered any guide on setting up?

I have been turning and turning, got to the point where it started stalling but the sound doesn't seem very different to the 007P

Any ideas?

Are you driving it, or just revving on the spot?

tried both but more driving around

I have just tightened it all way up now cos it was annoying me

But how should it sound? And to keep driving and doing turns will take forever to setup

have you got it so the trumpet is facing the bulk head?. i was having simular probs last week with mine as it was stalling when i reversed up my drive and was making the fluttering noise as i had put the dv on the wrong way and screwed it to hard and just turned it 1/4 turn at a time had it set up in 10 mins

Least your getting a noise lol

The trumpet is on the opposite to the inlet that goes into the TIP

Might try turning it around.....

Give Myki Da Pyki a shout or search his threads as Im sure he used to run one of these and say they are great once setup correctly.

Yeah above pic is the right way. It takes a little bit of playing around to get just right tho.

Yeah i got it the right way just need to adjust it so its right but that will take me a lifetime and no doubt a full tank of petrol with all the stopping and starting

That dosent look right to me..... mine was set up the other way round & has been on the car for over 2years now with no problems + the dv is turned all the way so its fully open

yep that is spot on the pressure/boost needs to enter this valve from the bottom if you like not the way the oem valve dose

Defo right way around in the picture as i tried mine the other way and it started making the chatter

Maybe I will try to relocate it to the cold side and see if that makes any difference

No cos the bit that goes into the TIP is opposite the trumpet

So as your relocated yours the flexi bit goes back to your TIP

In other words looks right to me

that is rite as the bootom of the valve is the boost side and the other side just vents back to the tip
