Well I'm biting the bullet & I've just bought some JOM Coilovers from DPM :D

But do you think I will need shorter droplinks?

I'm planning on dropping my Bezza by 50mm so the wheels are flushly in line with the arches :)

Any tips or advice before fitting my coilovers?

I'm fitting new top mounts as mine are knackered.

I just installed JOMs, and yes you'll definitely need short drop links! Mine rubbed like crazy even with them wound all the way up!

I'd also advise getting a hub spreader tool, as it'll save a lot of time. I used a chisel, and my hands are still suffering from it!

Any idea's if any other car on the road today has shorter droplinks as standard that might fit the Ibiza? I had a look at ones off a Ford Mondeo about 03 sort of year & they were about a inch shorter or so than the Ibiza's standard setup. The ones from Awesome seem overpriced to me!

Ford Mondeo ones, and Ford Pumas ones are meant to fit. I just went with the Awesome ones so I was sure I was getting something which fitted

As mentioned you will need the shorter drop links if your lowering 50mm.

Give me a shout if you want a set and we can send them in with the kit.

Damian I can get a set from my work for only £12, So unless your going to do me a great deal then I will give it a miss thanks. ;)

I got mine off ebay last march and have done me well so far. About £10 i think and i am running ford puma issues. Sod paying £50+ from venom for adjustable ones when you dont need to adjust them!

What sort of length are the Puma ones as I know the Mondeo ones are 250mm centre to centre & the standard Ibiza ones are 275mm centre to centre.

I could just wait til I get to work tomorrow, But I want to plan ahead so I know what to go for.

SKF Top mounts all round are only costing me £40 :D

Hopefully My JOM Coilovers come tomorrow as I want to lower my car this weekend!

But does anyone know if I need to fit dust covers on them or do JOM's come with them?

I didn't fit the original dust covers, they come with some but not big enough to cover the whole shock. I just left it though, and greave all the exposed metal parts

Anyone have an ebay link for the 10 quid shortened drop links? Can only find standard ones, I think Im just being a bit crap though!

It is recomendable to change top mounts once your car is disassembled because it is not to much money and you got peace of mind for future.
So, is that drop links Cris3boro posted the right one?
