Hi

Ran out of washer fluid last week.

No warning that I could see or hear, it just ran out.

I've a 1.9TDi Stylance, with factory-fit bluetooth (the larger MFD).

Haven't found it listed in the specs, but should it have it, what does it look like, what should it do and when should it sound (just before I run out, or when I've run out)?

how old is the car? what does the handbook say?
my warning light is at about 8 o'clock on the speedometer and a message is displayed in the mfd. (something like 'refill windscreen washer bottle')

Page 77 of the the handbook says that it should. (They should put those things on the web and make them searchable, couldn't find it last time I looked.)

Buggered if I'm taking it back again though. They've just had it for the best part of a week.

Anyone know how to test the warning (other than squirting sh!t loads of washer fluid, till it runs out)?

(I.e, how do I get at the washer bottle and the sender, and would shorting the sender wires trigger the warning?)

Cheers

My 07 (not sure on build week, but end of April) FR has it. I have bluetooth.
And although I wish it'd shut up once it's told me a few times, it's a very useful feature.
