It does yes! How do the eBay coolers perform when pushed on a hybrid k03?

I managed to get my whole PA cooler setup for £500. Slight overkill but is always commented on for doing the job very very well

I'm not sure but isn't Robdon running a cheap Ebay cooler to good effect on his?

He is yes, although I recall it being pretty large? I don't know how it compares in size to the PA kit?

im used to turbo to cooler of less than a foot then another 2 foot to the TB (escort turb)
my samcos havent arrived yet so will see what appears

Lots of you Leon owners have done your own custom FMIC using universal bits and they look really good. I was thinking of doing this on my Mk4 Ibiza.
Have you done this as its a cheaper alternative to expensive off the shelf kits?
Are there any disadvantages to the DIY route?
Where do you get your intercoolers and piping from? Ebay?

I did mine to save money and because there are not many kits for the normal LC.

You can get all the parts off ebay very easily

Twinpass or normal depends on how much room you have and if you want to replace all the cars original pipe work or start again.

I'd use 2.5" pipe not 3"

Twinpass is best (same as Seat Sport and Forge FMIC) as the turbo outlet and TB are on the same side on the 20vt lump in the Mk4 Ibiza!

I wouldn't say best I'd say easier.

They are on the same side on LC to.....all that means is you use the standard restrictive pipe work to the turbo where as if you had inlet/outlet either side you would have all 2.5" pipework. Having removed the standard pipes there pretty crap to be honest.
