Nice one, cheers for that Mark :) I'll take a trip down to the scrappies maybe tomorrow then.

So your center console was from a pre-facelift gti.. I wonder if a post will fit or not?

I guess it can't help just buying the bits. Not like he'll charge me much :)

I've installed my own cigarette lighter in my car (there was just a hole for it) by cutting into the wires using these clips (the name has lost me) with a 10A inline fuse. Haven't been able to try it yet because I can't find any of my car chargers!

So how does the lower section actually connect to the door card then?

(Sorry about all the questions)

no problem at all mate. glad i can pass on the stuff that people told me when i 1st joined!
The centre console will fit. they never changed it from 93 thru 99.
you'll need to take the door cards off ur car to fit the lower parts properly. i unscrewed mine from an s reg cordoba sx. kept the screws & used them to fit them to mine. cut holes for the speakers with a stanley knife.

The only reason i went thru all this hassle is cos i liked the plain black door cards & the cordoba i got the pockets from had grey material on it.

whack sum pics up when ur done.!

I will do, nice one mate! Looks like I shall be going shopping tomorrow then :D

Just tried out my cigarette lighter I installed for the first time with no luck :( Can't work out why it won't work though!

I thought I'd bung on a new photo of mine, as I took one with my new phone when I ended up in glasgow last weekend, wasn't too bad actually!

I always like photos of my car, it's got stone chips all over the place but it always looks immaculate in photos!

Posting some new pics of my Cupra.
Had it lowered 35mm with shocks and springs. G&M Motorsport is the brand of the "Traction-kit". The handling is very good, the car is going like a flat iron on the road. :funk:
I also put the "Cupra2" decals on the car. Bought some new ones after the repaint, but don't wanted to put them on before.

:)

Happy to see u guys like it! :)

Really nice example did them headlight washers come with the bumper or did you add them? Great work dude!

:) They come with the bumper, original. The lid over them are screwed from the backside of the bumper..
