I went for glowshift gauges. they light up the same as the auto gauge ones but they have a black surround instead of silver. Here's a pic of mine with nomad pod.

Iam thinking on the same lines as this as it looks the most factory. Then I can run something different on my liquid gauge

Gonna go with boost 30 psi and volts I think.

i've still got to fit mine, I've read that its best to get the hose through either the electric loom or the bonnet release hole to get it into the engine.
but can anyone please tell me where there place to actually put the T in the engine. I've read a couple of places give the best results (FPR or off DV) but I dont much fancy making any cuts in the current hoses to put it in (because i'm a wuss). Can anyone tell me which one that would be and if there any pics of it that would be ace.

I went off the FPR. I read into this before doing mine and found that this was the more accurate place of the two.

For the boost gauge you should take direct from the manifold, not the FPR. :)

If you have an early leon the best place is the electrics box as you can remove the lid and use the existing wiring routs, the later leon's dont have the ability to remove the lid so its more difficult. As above for the best place for the boost gauge.

I thought that if you went off the hose going to the FPR you were in effect going from the manifold anyway as that's where the hose leads too..

Its just not as acurate as going from the manifold the FPR affects the reading. Bill at Badger5 will also advise not to take boost reading from it, only the mainfold.

ok, was thinking of fitting it at the same time as doing the n249 bypass. is it possible to T the boost into where I'm needing to hose up the n249 bypass? (standard leon cupra 2001)

Well I've just ordered a black nomad single gauge pillar pod and a glowshift 30 psi boost gauge. Iam gonna feed the gauge from my egr delete valve, and feed it through the bulkhead with the wiring loom, same way I feed my amp power lead to the battery.
