Just manage to find somewhere close with them instock, quoted me £27.41 + vat, does that sound about right?

yes thats about right for bosch coil packs.. you may be able to save a couple fo pounds but that price is about right.

Thanks for the reply Andy! Gonna pop round my mates (he's a bit better than me when it comes to knowing whats what under the bonnet! lol) Will try the whole "take one out at a time" thing and see which ones have gone. Hopefully it is just a coil and not anything else otherwise its gonna be a VAG.com purchase off ebay to diagnose it :/

Don't take them out while the car is running. Turn it off, take one out, restart it, turn it off, put that one back in, take the next one out, restart it etc.. I tried removing one while it was running and blew that one too!

I also have the same problem but I think it may be a bit more severe. At first the engine light would go off if I turned the engine off but now it comes on straight away. It does not flash but is constant and the shuddering increases when I put my foot on the accelerator. I had it serviced a few weeks ago and they said everything was fine. Do you all think I have the same problem?

My finace's one had a coil go down on the way to combe. rac carry one on board luckily, i'm getting 3 more genuine ones at £20 each and change them, then keep the old ones in the boot as spares.
