side exit exhaust

hey all, i was speaking to a friend the other night and he suggested when i get the R rear bumper.. to get the exhausts exiting the side of the car.. just infront of the rear arch, this is however something i wouldnt do.. but has anyone done this or thought about it? would be interesting to see what it looked like

I think the layout of the chassis would prevent this being done... well, done properly anyway.

Not to mention the fact it would look completely gash.

hehe.. agreed it would look terrible i think.. but i was curious if anyone had done it.. .

i was thinking if it was on a cupra.. then it might be possible.. but with the cupra r sideskirts it would be alot more difficult.

I thought the skirts were the same on the Cupra and Cupra R

i think maybe they are on the facelift model but not on the standard one.. as far as i know anyway

Your probably right. I always think of a Cupra as the facelift model for some reason.

way too noisy. had to drive my ibiza cupra 1.8 t (rally car) up from poole(off the boat from Jersey) to northampton 3 years ago and was deafened by the noise but did sound lovely

hah i was meaning the same also!! not at the very back.. but each to their own really.. does look like he did some nice things there.. with the screen etc.
