does anybody know how the leon side skirts fit...:help::help::help:
finally got some from a scrappy and in my colour too :funk: think they came of a tdi????????
they have got screw points but my car doesn't (2002 1.8 se)
also i have offered up the skirts to the car and it looks like they will clip the doors..
surely this can't be right...
p.s i have tiger seal to glue them on if needs be but for the life of me can't see how they fit:shrug:

i have read about a kit that is needed but thats if you have the fixing points on the car...i think.

you lucky git!! I have been looking for skirts for ages still cant fit any? Yours wont fit mate so best you send them on to me ;)

Did you read a fitting guide on here? Im not sure how they fit? Thought it would just be offer them up, drill some holes and job done? Hope you get it sorted.

couldn't find a guide...
know where one is then?

cause it's got me stumped for abit

if there is no guide about
can someone take a few pics of theirs and post them on here so i can look at how it sits on the car..
thanks

nice one where the hell did you find that..
i'll be dammed if i could find that..

damm you technology...

you have ot buy clips for the side skirts from seat. they are about 98p reach and you need 14 of them. you have to line them up with the clip bits on the side skirts up against the body work. once lined up you need to self tap screws into the body work. once all clips in place they just clip in
hope this helps

does it matter that i dont have the holes pre drilled in to the body work...
also does the top of the side skirts line up with top of the door sill...or do they fit above the sill/under the door?

it dont matter. you need 28 self tapper screws and screw them into the body work with the clip. them skirts clips in. simple job.

i've got a good guide mate, didnt fancy self tapping incase of rust in the future etc.

was it all ok taping them in???

p'm me ur email address mate i have photos n everything :)

Totally agree - as I said in the guide I got hold of some super strong double sided tape to mount the clips along the sill ( no way I was going to drill and self tap and TBH you would have to be 100% sure you have the correct position before drilling. With the double side tape if you did get it wrong you can start again. Offer the skirt up very slowly and carefully with the clips attached and the tape ready. Happy with position then push on hard. Remove skirt and push clips on evenly all way round to secure them, then re-attach the skirt and fix screws in wheelarch ends and attach clamp type clips along the sill seam. Take your time and it's fine. Mine never fell off :p
