Maybe look at 2.0T A3's and just tune it up to S3 performance levels?

For that I think your talking £23K for the car quattro ofcourse and thats simply too much money for me atm.

[edit]:

s3 isnt a big car the older model isnt exspensive either and with 210bhp iirc and quatro all good to me

Now thats a thought, didn't think about the older S3.

My dad reckon's I should have a drive in the 1.4 170bhp superchaged/turbo Golf he thinks I'd like it.

In the light of day I think my only real option is to get another Ibiza, Cupra this time though. Most likely the TDI as I used to the vag unit.

Latest on my car is that they need to replace one of the boost pipes and it should be in tomorrow, so hopefully I'll be sorted by tomorrow night.

I've heard that somewhere too about that particular engine.

I reckon it will be a cupra and it'll get a set of coilover's first chance I get, unless I happen to get a 2nd hand cooper s for good money but that doesn't seem to happen with mini's.

Well I got my car back this evening and have had a quick look under the bonnet appears they replaced the plastic pipe along the side of the engine aswell as the one going into the intercooler.
Gave the car a good 'test' once it was warmed up on my way home and its great to have it back though 22 mile @25.2mpg means I now need to go fill the car up....
