Silicon Hoses

Right having returned the second hand Samco silicone hoses that I bought off eBay. I'm in the market for a set of silicone top turbo hoses for my LCR. The cheapest I can find the Samco hoses is around £160 delivered. Forge are doing them for £130 + p&p and I belive we get 10% discount on top of that?
Is there any other manufacturers that I've over looked that anyone can recommend? Are the Samco hoses worth the premium? My last question is the fitting kits you can buy with the hoses. Are they just a set of jubilee clips?

Thanks for that think I'll order a set tomorrow. Had a quick read on your build tread, you keep things moving at a pace! I'm fitting my Badger5 TIP this weekend can't wait. Guess I'll notice a big improvement over the standard item?

Why would anyone pay the ridiculous amounts Samco / Forge ask for thier hoses is beyond me, I've always used generic eBay stuff, 4/5 Ply and it's just as good if not better

If you want a 'brand name' hose, try the following, 'Ash' / 'Log Pro' / 'Creationmotorsports' , all these are 4/5 Ply hoses, almost 60% cheaper and the same build quality

I seriously can't understand the VAG world / community sometimes...... all you guys do is spend silly money on brand names which in fact do feck all over / better then one without a brand name

How do the silicone hoses In general perform over the standard VAG hoses. I think that's what countymounty was asking.

Oh yeah - the hoses!

I just fitted a TIP and the lower crankcase breather (nightmare of a job as its so flaming tight and awkward to get at for both hoses) and used items from Creationmotorsports on ebay. I am still waiting for a missing connection piece that was supposed to be in the pack to link it to the top breather hose, but the silicon hoses themselves are absolutely fine.

Everyone seems to be happy with the Creationmotorsports hoses. I'm still waiting to be refunded. So unless my funds get spent elsewhere I think I'll order a set. They just seem to be to good to be true at less than half price!

I went for them purely as I needed the breather and no-one else was advertising one. Plus, they offered money back if not happy with the product.

Those creation motorsport ones look very good for the price,those guys that already have them, am assuming you don't get jubilee clips in the kit with them?
