Had a look under my car other day and noticed the the rear axle has the brackets already there for a caliper. Went to scrapy and found a Skoda Fabia with discs brakes on back and it all looked the same as mine. Just wanted a confirmation that they would fit.
Cheers

Wouldnt waste your time.

The rear brakes do very little work anyway, and if it has drums as standard, im guessing its one of the lower powered models, that wont be getting to speeds to worry about having better brakes.

I dont think it would be as simple as just changing the hoses and fitting disks and calipers. There a completely different setup, and probably wouldnt have the correct bias front:rear.

If it aint broke don't fix it!!

I had the same idea to do this on a peugeot 306, then spoke to someone who had.....

For one, you have to inform your insurer that you are modifying the car. Something most people overlook, however in todays current climate insurance companies will do ANYTHING to get out of paying.

Really not worth it if you ask my opinion, as this will hardly make any difference to the braking

Yup, one of my mates did this to one of his cars. He tried to slow down quickly and the back end locked up and sent him through a hedge. Not worth it really!
