car appears to be 100% now.
changed the tensioner, pulley and belt. job done (eventually)
it was originally the tensioner, but i drove on it for a few hundred miles, which in turn knackered the pulley, when i just changed. had i left it any longer, the tensioner probably would have needed changing again..
unfortunately what turned out to be a bit of work at the dealer for this, turned out to cost me over £500 as the intake pipes blew off at both ends and the boot solenoid packed up too
