Well maybe a little more to be fair. 500 miles from £70 would mean there and back it would cost him about £8.12 lol

Doesn't feel too bad in honesty mate, I've not driven the car much since but it felt fine, probably get it aligned again at the weekend.

I'd guess so yeah, usual case is they won't charge if it's ok. Possibly need a little tweak so I'm expecting to pay.

just cos when I got mine done, they did a free check and only the left front wheel was out, so they charged me just for the alignment on that wheel, which was good because I was expecting them to charge me for both front wheels.

Some places charge whatever, but most places are pretty good and won't charge if it doesn't need doing, last time i went he checked it and tweaked it a little but still didn't charge me :)

On the subject of geo - how much adjustment is there on the factors set-up?
I'm going to get mine done soon when I fit the springs and ALK.

Fairly the rears have camber and toe adjustment
What about the front? Just tracking? Is there camber bolts off the shelf to give adjustment?
Anything else worth looking at? (without spending a fortune!)

Got back off my holibobs yesterday and first thing this morning the car was into the dealers for it's annual service, all done and dusted :)

On my way over the car didn't seem to drive as well as it used to (since the Eibachs went on), it's the first time I've really driven the car since the springs were put on.

It just seemed to feel a little unsure and not as stable as it did, so after the service I got it booked straight in for 4 wheel alignment, I was hoping that everything was going to be hunky dory so it wasn't going to cost anything lol but something was niggling me saying that it wasn't quite right.

So I sat in reception waiting for the word, while I was there I got quite a few comments from the guys who work there on how nice the car is, is the interior standard, how much was it etc... which is always nice :)

Sure enough after they got the car on the ramps and checked the alignment it was off, and off on all four corners, the camber on the rear left being the worst, to the point where the guy wasn't even sure how adjustable the rears were and if it could be brought back enough to be within tolerances! Think it was at -2.05 degrees when he showed me.

A short while later he came back and handed me the printout to say that everything was ok and back in the green (little sigh of relief)

A slightly more expensive morning than I had hoped for but at least everything it sweet again, although I would stress to anyone thinking of doing this common modification to get your alignment checked fairly soon after, or you may find you start eating through tyres (which is more expensive than paying for the alignment ;))

Had a little advisory after my service to say that the two rears will need replacing in the not too distant future so that will probably be the next thing on the list.
