Not sure exactly because it differs depending on which model Leon you have, but i think on mine the drop is something like 30mm at the front and 20mm at the back. The springs i used were the eibach sportlines.

Currently using the showroom shine dressing as I ran out of the auto smart stuff. It's actually pretty good stuff.

Haha it's a thread that could have gone rumbling on for another 100 years, can't believe it actually got to the point of name calling!

It was a load of good banter lol.

Was awesome buddy, badly needed before the wife drove me baby crazy lol. Hired a wee mini convertible which was pretty decent. Slow as a week in the jail but I suppose that wasn't the purpose of the car lol.

Plenty of banter but some people take it too personal sometimes.

Good stuff man, where did you go?

I'm off this week, just at home though, not looking like I'll get a proper holiday again this year :(

A link to your 'before and after' lowering piccys brought me here, then i saw your S1 remap video, then i just read the whole thread from the start :D

Interesting journey so far. Was particularly interested in your clutch adventure.

I sense (and from what others have said) my DMF could be failing. To what degree i dont know, i saw someone mention on this thread to check how many notches its slipping, but i dont know how to actually do that. Apart from a couple audible knocks i cant detect any actual negative effects.

So basically im reluctant to throw a S1 APR remap at it, both from aggravating the DMF point of view, plus the 600 on a remap only to then monk up best part of a grand to chamge the DMF - which would 'obviously' be the right time to throw in a Sachs uprated clutch.

Since disabling my Soundakator, I like the uprated intake idea too, quick solution to hear a bit more but i havent sorted the leaky scuttle yet, so really dont want to live without the engine cover protection.

Anyway, maybe i should be starting my own ride thread, but apart from a lot of polishing and disconnecting the soundaktor, there isnt much action going on lol :D

I'm impressed you took the time to read all my ramblings fella lol :) Gotta be honest I started this thread with the mindset that not much would be done to the car and I wouldn't be spending much on it as it wouldn't need it, but as time has gone on certain things have forced my hand and others......well others I just wanted lol, I'm just lucky the wife is understanding and pretty cool like that :D

Clutch wise the only reason I could tell was because it was quite clearly slipping when putting the power down, I couldn't tell myself that the DMF was shot though, that was found when they took it all to bits and looked at it.

As far as getting APR stage 1 on, just go for it if that's what you are going to do anyway, if it's starts to show signs of slipping with the map on, you can just program switch back to stock anyway until you get the clutch sorted, then just switch back to the map :)
