She's still a fair way off yet mate so won't be till next year (Jan/Feb) but at least I know they've got me one sorted.

No pics as yet, should get those when it arrives at the port in Japan, probably late next week.

Details I have are that it's a silver 6 GSR, covered 50k miles and one owner from new.

excellent news on the evo m8 ;)
what plans you got for it?
i know the leons got modifications to do but evos can be BIG money lol
I'm a little unsure to be honest fella, a big part of me feels i should keep it as standard as possible.

There are loads of modified examples out there so i think it might be nice to own an unmodified one.

We'll see how the mood takes me ;)

thats true m8,mostly go big power lol
i suppose you dont see many standard cars around so if youve got a good one to start it makes it easier to get it to a high standard ;)
i thought that about my evo then had the engine forged and new turbo :p

How come your didn't get a TME?

Wasn't really willing to spend the £12-13k on a good one for what will be essentially a weekend car.

I would have liked one and if it was going to be my only car then I'd have paid more for a TME but as it's a weekend toy the smart play was a GSR :)

Very wise. It's a 4k premium for some seats and a weaker turbo. I spent BIG on my TME, and regretted it. My advice is keep it close to std, suspension needs to be high quality if you're going coilovers, like £1500 minimum or you're going to spoil the handling. Brakes are a must, engine should be ok as long as you keep the boost low. I wouldn't map it at all mate.

I've come the other way, and would take quite a bit of lottery money to get me to go back....

Yeah i think she'll stay very much standard, I'm not really one for modifying my cars so it'll stay pretty stock :)
