After a fair old wait the car has been purchased and made it to the yard in Japan ready to be shipped.

Here are a couple of the pictures I've been sent, I thought I'd post them for anyone that is interested.

The car is a stock 6 GSR with aftermarket wheels (I'll probably change these for the standard OZ rims) aftermarket exhaust and air filter.

Cheers lads.

I've asked for some interior shots, I'll get sent these when they get them.

Not seen the underside but if all the rest I've seen are anything to go by then it should be pretty good.

That looks like a right weapon....... If it's like any other import from Japan the underside will be mint, but if I was you I'd have it fully wax oiled and under sealed straight away. I know a lad who can sort it for you in Ackworth. It's one of mine and my brothers mates who's doing our kids MX5 import that he just bought this weekend.

How much does he charge Lee? It gets waxoiled when it arrives by the guys who are importing it, but they don't do behind wheel arch linings and door sills as standard, i can pay extra but unsure if it's worth it as it'll be a fair weather motor :)

I'm not sure but I can find out for you or I can just give you his number?

I've seen some places fill the sills with it too to make sure it's protected. Personally I'd get it done then you know you're protected for what it cost. Plus you don't know for sure when they stop putting the horrible salt on the roads and it only takes the one time you go out for it to get everywhere, especially when it snows and your drifting about.........

Yeah if the weather conditions allow then it may make an appearance Andy ;)
Nice one Crafoo! The MK2 is still in one piece BTW ;)
Ahh good news mate :) how is she running? I'm seriously missing that car right now
Evo looks nice mate. They do sit high though dont they.
Thanks fella, looks pretty good for a 15 year old banger don't it. Yeah they are far from slammed but to be honest the handling and ride is one thing these cars are legendary for so I'm not going to piss about with it lol

Who is importing it mate? I recommended JM imports to you ages ago, so curious who you went with
Went with SVA Imports in the end, spoke with them and they sounded spot on so that made my mind up. I couldn't remember who you said so never looked at their place.
