What updates did you get?
Sorry I did not get the update detail as the car was last one out workshop and tech had left. I will check the detail in car and let you know versions. Service desk were sure that this would fix SOS error and the mobile contacts being lost each time switch off. Will know in week or so if the latest update has worked. One thing I did say was no major surgery as have seen folks having parts changed with fault still occurring.

This is the data for my Cupra Ateca. Will have to wait a week or so to see if it stops SOS error. The service desk reckoned that the fix was working on the Formentors.
The issue I had with having to pair the mobile each trip as the car had lost the contact info has been fixed.

It’s not just that, there’s a firmware update for the telematics module itself as well. Something like v45 from what I saw online somewhere else.

I will try to chat with tech if I can get past the service reception Lol.
I think that is what I had as they said two updates and the car was in all day with the oil change only being done last thing before they closed so seems to be a lengthy download. Certainly fixed the mobile issue. Hopefully SOS too.

I took mine to my local seat dealer and after having my car all day they told me all they did was reset the stored error codes, said that was what seat told them to do, no software update for any module or the infotainment. But running the infotainment system in maximum privacy mode stops all the pops and sos errors so I can live with that, most annoying thing was when I got my car back they had seemingly drove it about 20 miles, muddy footprints on the carpets / mud streaks where they kicked the trim on the inside of the door and the radio was turned up full blast and set to the techs favourite station, dunno why they needed to drive it so much when the error codes for the sos malfunction where showing when they plugged it in, but whatever ill just take it to a mechanic I trust for its first service cos seat are a dead loss and id not trust the seat techs to tie my shoe laces never mind fix a software bug in my car.

Mine was in for 4 weeks at a Bristol Street Motors recently while they attempted software updates and had had to replace various modules. When I got it back in March it hadn't been updated to the latest software, despite me asking on the phone and reassured it had been. It's on 1896. Been ok for a couple of weeks then got the SOS error again, now can't get it back into the garage til 24th May. Whole thing has been a shambles.

Sad to hear the variable service levels. I know that is down to each car as to what updates are done but seems to be a bit disorganised. I have now got the mobile contacts staying on car and not needing to pair each time on start up and a few weeks on no SOS error but will wait and see. Cupra dealer did what expected and car cleaned before return so good service.

Thought I'd got off pretty well. No more SOS issues or pops from the speaker, but the infotainment restarts are almost daily at this point (pretty much didn't get any for the first few weeks after the upgrade). Now it's almost a certainty if you leave the car and get back in within an hour or so - reset happens about 2 minutes after you start driving. Not a huge deal, but it's annoying to have it cut out, especially if you're relying on Nav.

Never had any problems with SOS or other issues since car new (1804) then took A896 update OTA and still no problems until recently when I too have been having infotainment reboot after up to a couple of minutes or so starting up...and its bloody annoying.

Mines still rebooting after a minute or so of start up 3/4 times a week unfortunately. Not sure there’s anything that can be done about it. It’s an October 21 and I’m wondering if cars built in a certain period are prone to these problems. It would be interesting to know if cars built from early 22 have the same issues.

What's annoying is it was fine from new, and fine after the OTA update yet only been happening last 6 weeks or so. If I was due a service I'd get the dealer to investigate at the same time.

Mine has started doing it - did it for about three weeks and it's now stopped again.

So far so good I thought as SOS error which came on every other day have gone since the last service/update mid March.
Today I had the infotainment screen go blank on second trip out. Switch off and on did not fix however when got home tried holding on the power button on screen and could see the icons dim very slightly a few times so took that as a reset. That seemed to fix issue.
Keep you posted.
Anyone else had same fault

Hi Everyone.. Just a random quick question! leon ehybrid 2020 and every once in a while i hear a random noise which could be described by "popping" as you all seem to be calling it, Seat have the car at the moment doing the mat recall.

Could someone give me a bit more info on it please, also the infotainment system sometimes loses the usb and when you get in car the settings randomly revert back to what i would assume is standard settings every once in a while? I.e dash changes / driving mode reverts back to normal instead of sport etc.

Does this sound like it is running old software and needs updating?

Thanks for any replys (y)
