I have experienced the same problem.
I cant believe there arent more people who have had this problem.
If i get to the bottom of it il update you, you need to do the same.
Have you checked the mk2 ibiza forum for an answer? same mechanicals.................
yeah will keep it u all posted i think its gear box oil thinning out and or low as its alway up hill when it does it..!!im going to try some molyslip in there too as ive used that before and i really rated it..!!!!il keep people in the loop ..many thanks for all the help everyone has given!
Got to the bottom of it, mine is apparently the EDL engaging so nowt to worry about. May be worth visiting the Ibiza forum in future as theres more traffic in there.
I was sold my Cordoba from a dealer nearly 9 years ago with "traction control" but it seems its not "proper" TCS! Maybe as time goes on it has changed. Mine used to kick in randomly for no aparent reason. Then had an ABS sensor replaced for an MOT and now it behaves itself.
Glad you got to the bottom of it!
Ive used molyslip and its has made some differets but i will look in to the abs senor!!! thanks very much ps i would highly recommend mollyslip to all car lovers
