one of the cheapy ebay ones but not the 42.99 + 15quid P&P one
won this one for 48quid and bloke assures me that the filter he supplys is just as good as a K&N but holds no where near as much oil and he has never had a complaint about maf failure, he said this even after I had paid so sounds honest

so thinking i might check the filter out, and pre wash it if it needs to be and then use it. if its not very good il stick it on ebay and use the green one from the dynatwist until i get another

TBH, i think the whole, oily maf is a load of rubbish, you get more oil in the TIP from the oil breather than you ever would from a filter. Just give it a wash and oil it slightly.

Keep me posted on it, coz if it fits i'll get one and try to get my new jetex filter down in the wing. :D

I've had a ****ing nightmare.

Thought it would an easy day of messing, well not even a day.

Started out fitting my new SnapOn seat covers, which i ripped fitting them. Not happy. Next onto fitting a blanking plug i got from Forge, which was the wrong ****ing size, my fault, ordered 25mm instead of 22.

Then onto my filter, took the dynashit off and fitted the new one easy enough, as you do, but i must have knocked the MAF or something coz it wouldnt run right, which turned into stalling and sounding like the coilpacks had gone.

So i had to go to ECP in cardiff to pick up a new maf and coilpacks (i needed the coils coz i wanted bolt down ones coz my new rocker doesnt have the same fixtures as the standard ibiza one). So off i go with an old spare maf which works, but not great, get down to cardiff and the engine management light comes on, cars not running great now and has hit gimp mode. Got down there and the guy at ECP was trying to be a **** with the exchange thing, but i eventually got 4 new coils and a MAF, chucked the maf on in the car park and it still run like ****. Gutted, so thought it might be something else, so i shot off home coz i wanted to get some bolts to fit the coils, which mnight have been the problem. Got to leckwith, ****, puncture.

All i needed now was to be raped and my dayt would have been brilliant, so now i'm 150 quid lighter from the coils and maf, and gonna be 100 quid worse off tomorrow for new tyres. And to top it all off i think the problem is all down to my TIP actually coming off the turbo, coz when i move it the car stalls and dies.

Tamping.

And i have no idea how to re-fit the tip.

dont sound too excited phil! haha cheers for that though mate i appreciate it, hopefully i wont be an unemployed bum for too much longer but its surprising how you look at money differently when you havent got any coming in!

whats the hold up on your car matt? more paintwork or final polishing? if its polishing might be worth letting dan do it? hes having a quietish month so im sure you could twist his arm on a tidy price and you know it'll be better than the bodyshop!

hmmm phil B+Q maybe? might be worth having some blue adnoised (sp?) ones to contrast the chrome, i think halfords may stock some in the correct size on their motorbike stuff stand?

anyone know what jonzy's new toy is? matt sent me a pic of his car on his superturismo's earlier, reckons it rubs with the 15mm spacers on et37 with a 7inch width, looks like im gonna be f.ucked with the 20mms then, should of kept the records, they were et40!

iv jst bought 15mm spacers, so hopefully they wont rub,
to be onist its been a absolute night mare for the garage that is doing it, they have had to order a rear bumper 3 times and being SEAT they take ages to get hold of them, firstly bumpers was delivered, was a completly wrong bumper, all a big mix up, re ordered, when the bumper was delivered was all bent out of shape and basically recked before it went on the car, i saw this eswell, so then had to be sent back and replaced, now the bumper is there they can carry on, up until thursday they wer stilll waiting for the bumper,

im also having work done to the front end of my car so i cant argue coz its for free, where my intercooler was mounted it sat further into the bumper than my forge one so there was a cut out shape which they have removed and smoothed out, also my number plate recess has been smoothed out, also adding black mess to the bumper, infront of the intercooler

spacers look good phil, the site seems to be clued up but by the time you've added the bolts at £2 each inc vat its going to add up to be a couple of quid from the eibach's, I'd rather a TUV certified product on my car than those, hows it coming along with the inlet manifold? i might make a start with mine tomorrow!

I make it 51.35 plus postage which, as the site says the most will be 15 quid, so thats quite a bit cheaper than from bill.

But agree tho dave, i'd rather have TUV ones, but i've emailed them for more info.

Still havent re-fitted my tip...
