I'd join you davey boy but unfortunately i'm in work until 7am. Bummer, funny you should say about meshing your bumper. That's a taskette I had in mind for the weekend. I also had to cut the bumper a touch to fit the FMIC. Should be easy enough to fit some mesh though..

i quite like the mesh tbh,the bumper can look very bare sometimes
as for protection it might make a slight difference but not much really. maybe help spread an impact across the face rather than just smashing into an area of the cooler

yeah ive been waiting for a focus too, thought i'd nailed one the other day for a blast but pulled past to see it being driven by a blue rinced biddy straight from the honda bridage, was extremely disapointed!

Mine was harrassing a lower spec focus at the time.

one good thing i will say about focus's is they do handle beautifully, drove a 1.8zetec, dog slow as you'd expect but felt planted and much more capable at speed than the ibiza even will, they are fully independant though as apposed to the rear beam on beeza's

you meshed your bumper yet gay? was about to start mine yesterday before 4 cheeky little ****ers decided to throw a waterbomb through ricardo's open window (my mate who owns 51 plate black cupra) which was parked across my drive, basically ended up with us giving um a load of adbuse but they didnt care, as they pointed out they knew the law couldnt touch um, little shits

thought they'd hang around and throw stones at the house for a bit too then

already got it in my boot fella problem is now though i dont think ive got any sandpaper or a sanding blok to smooth the curviture of the inner bumper slats out with, obviously using a dremel has left loads of high and low spots

i can not post pictures for sum reason, dave shal i send them to u and u can post them! they look pants! will have a fidde later with the scanner to try and get them better later, the pictures are clear as day
