Spare DIN slot

Ive recently bought an Ibiza FR, it has a HU and climate control, and in btween the 2 units a spare slot. im wondering if this slot is a tray that can be pulled out, possibly to mount my HU lower, so the cup holder is out the way!
Can anyone enlighten me, on if this is possible and how.

ye just tug and it pops out without damage

thats it, want a boost gauge i think i nthe spare area. so i dont need radio removal tools?
