Speedo not working

Had my clutch replaced today and now my speedo is not working. The fuel gauge is also playing up.
Any ideas what might have caused this?

sounds like it could be the crank sensor on the gearbox to me

yeh they havent pluged the speedo sensor in on the top at the back of the gearbox and thats your fuel gauge is playing up because it need to know what speed the car is doin

Cheers for the replies. Assuming that it is not as simple as a missed plug-in, is it likely to be an expensive fix?

assuming it isnt then no not really its easy to replace. just open your bonnet and have alook for a plug at the back of the gearbox on the left
