Hi ,

I noticed a split hose in my car ...
Can someone help me identifying it ??

It's the one circled in the attached picture, going down below.
It joins into another hose (which is ok) at the top.

From looking on VAGCAT it's a breather hose

Part number 06A103221AH for ARY/AUQ engines and 06A103221AC for AMK/BAM engines :)

EDIT: Picture from Vagcat

Aaah ! Ok ,

But that seems to be the big hose on top where in joins into ...
Any info/part# on the little hose that goes down from there ??
(extension to the breather hose)

That's the one that's split, the top one is ok

Don't hold me to it but I think its hose no9 on Vag-cat?

Best to double check as I'm not 100% sure I just have a feeling it is.

yup, my crankcase breather split.. replace with silicone, no worries now... stronglya dvise thats what you do with this... all youd need to do is measure both ends of the pipe thats split, order a small length of silicone and jubilee clipse and cut and replace

id order random lengths of silicone, as you will have more of these type of hoses split.

i ordered 3m for circa 20quid delivered

the oem part for the crankcase breather was 35 plus vat..... for 1 poxy hose.

i broke that on mine changing that big V one. You'd be surprised how much that one and the one under the inlet manifold cost! rip off! (the V one I changed for silicone)

Hi ,

Thanks for your help and suggestions ,

Just some feedback here for future reference.

I found the part # for this lower hose is : 06A 103 213 AF

When I received the new one ("only" 40 euros at stealers!!) I found out
it's actually a hard plastic pipe. So the old ruptured rubbery-feeling one
was affected quite much by oil & heat ...

This is how it looks :
