Well done James glad you got it sorted.

Forge are good, got my tip yesterday and that looks well made, I've always had samco hoses on my other cars I don't think you can go far wrong with either :)

got the pipework ready for the n249 bypass, thats the next job.

engine mounts also ready to go.....

on hols next week though so may have to wait

My N249 pipework is here now to I'm hoping to do it at the weekend with my TIP and replacement pancake pipe.

I've printed a copy of how Ross did his N249 mod so fingers crossed it will go ok........if I do mine before you I'll report back any problems etc but it looks an easy task to me :)

yeah n249 easy, pancake pipe a bit of a faff but take you time and itll be fine

yours will be done before me, havent got time now till after hols.

easy to fit mate

get someone to help you.

axle stands, get underneath yourself.... unclip all the neccesary pipework, before you refit guid it to the turbo, clamp the bottom part on first, make sure its on and tight, then refit from the top

if someone pushes the top down whilst your undernaeth makes life much easier, i mean my wife did this for me and she hasnt a clue.... took me about an hour to fit

Oh so its easier to get the pipe off the turbo from underneith?

Do you know if the clip that holds the TIP to the turbo is a jubilee or one of those silly clips they use to secure the re-circ valve? if its not a jubilee I'll have to pop out and get one later so I'm all ready.

Thanks for that mate I'll take a look, I've already changed the others for jubilees as those standard clips are a right pain in the but [:@]

I've changed mine now Adam, its even easier. Remove both small vac hoses from the nipples on the underside of the right hand side of the intake manifold. Run new 4mm silicone hose from these, one to the FPR and one to the top of the DV. Job done. The 3 hoses that you've disconnected (2 from intake manifold and 1 from top connection on DV) just get plugged with a screw.
