Its a easy job to do if you know how.

Tool's:
Spring Compressors
Hub Splitter tool (I used a cold chisel, but was harder to use).
Splined socket (M14 one I believe?)
Socket set
Breaker Bar comes in handy.
Mallet for some persuasion if needed
Pliers to unclip the Brake hose Bracket.
7mm Allen Bit (one which fits on a Rachet is best).

One Guide which I found helpful was the following:

I had never done a job like this previous. Just did some research & had previous experience with other types of jobs.

Thanks :) Will buy the part then just pay someone to do it for me since i dont have / know what half of that stuff is lol.

Will this fit, wheel is the front left?

I had a spring snap on my 56 plate FR (had around 20k on clock) around a year ago.

Was repaired FOC by Seat under warranty.

Right, that spring is quoted for >93 - so the answer must be no. It would be smarter to make sure the spring that you have bought is correct, then buy an identical one for the other side - or if not just buy a matched correct pair.

guys at the moment i dont think i can be arsed to argue with them. i spoke to 2 dealers and they said i would have to pay up front and argue case with warranty as "the roads are in a terrible state and even a new spring could snap.

so gonna stick it in my local get it done and get on with it. aint in the mood for listening to crap.

thanks for all your help so far

I think that theh only place that you should go for re-dress money wise is the supplying dealer that you got the car from, trying to force a goodwill payment out of Seat is not going to work I don't think in your situation - its the "2 months 1300 miles" use of the car that you have had that should govern any goodwill gesture from your supplying dealer, and if they are a Seat dealership, then its up to them to fight to get their money back that they had to put into sorting your car, from Seat. The only money that you should end up paying is to get the other side changed - which is still a bit naughty as it only needs changed due to the first side having failed.
