Ibiza Cupra

I don't really know wot is sqeaking / clunking but it's coming from the drivers side front wheels when i turn sharply left????????? It's quite worrying!!! Any one have any ideas?

Seems to do it when it cold ie the weather not the car. Or after i've bin pushing it through bends and accelerating hard. Then it goes after a while.

Doesn't happen all the time. Like everything with my cupra, nothing is consistent!!!!!!

Any help / advice is much appreciated!!

Not happened yet. I'll be honest it first happened maybe 3 weeks ago when i was chasing a mini coopers s. then we stopped at a junction, i pulled out to the left and it was like a scraping sound not grinding (really hard to explain!!!). Then it happened this morning after a fairly enthusiastic drive to work this morning when the roads were dead!!!!!

Not sure on that then?

I get a clunking noise when reversing on full lock. Sounds like its coming from the steering rack?

Its been to the dealer many a time but they have always said there is nothing wrong with it?

cv joint? bearing? crappy spacers? warped discs? a stone stuck in the brake disc

could be anyone (or more)
Ok, I thought it could be loadsa things. thought i'd ask!!! Well i'll have to get my brother to have a look at it!!!

Thats the problem, not that i'd ever take my car to SEAT as my bro is a mechanic but it doesn't happen all the time. so i could get it checked and they won't find it as my car was having a "good day" bloody thing is more tempremental than my bird!!!

check for stones, i know it seems pointless but its quite common for stones to get caught and make noises for a while and then the noises stop suddenly.

although if its a really horrible chafing/grinding sound when you turn the wheel its likely its a failing component

mmmm it could be a stone. TBH i can't explain the noise. really wierd. i cleaned it yesterday and blasted of the wheels and behind them and brakes etc... will take the wheel off and have a look with my brother.

Cheers.
