Squeaking when using accelerator

Whenever I depress or release the accelerator pedal I get a squeaking noise. This only started happening a couple of days ago, so I have a feeling its to do with the ridiculously cold weather. Has anyone else had this or have any idea as to what it could be?

i get a creaky noise but think thats the clutch pedel though
sounds a bit like a spring

a spray of light oil will do the trick

get a can with a straw that clips on and you can get to the spot
