Standard boost??

Does anyone know what standard boost is on a mk4 Cupra 1.8T???

12psi rings a bell...

I know pd130's are 18psi

18psi is more then 1bar, sounds a bit hight to me.

But I'm new to VAG's so I might be wrong. Just after the petrol numbers realy though

Diesels run under higher compression mate, pretty sure the 1.8T is around 10-12psi

mine std was running 8-10psi, now remapped its running 21-22psi

A CC stage 2 K04 from a LCR runs 1.25-1.45 (18psi) at peak so doubt you are running 21-22 on a K03S??

Sorry evo, don't mean to be contradictive, was told petrol turbos run lower boost even after a remap!

thats what the gauge shows peak 21ish and holds at 15-16ish. thats running revo stage 2. from memory gaz jones car was running the same boost with the same setup as me

My cupra at the time was 0.6bar hold (8.4psi) and 0.8 (11.2psi) peak for my standard setup now on a stage 1 it 1bar (14psi) hold to red line with 1.2 (16.8psi) peak. Looking forward to p-torques stage 2 but that requires 2 days to map. Can't get the time off work for that

Pretty sure standard is 8.5psi and peeks at 10psi. I think the revo remap takes it to 21psi

No, but the stage 1 was a generic remap, at the time the car had the required mods for a stage 2 but I didn't opt for that stage at the time.
